JACKSONVILLE, FL - Phones aren't cheap, so when you drop yours while digging it out of your pocket or scratch the phone because you didn't buy a screen protector yet, it's cheaper to have the phone fixed instead of replacing the phone.
Phone repair companies aren't always available at a convenient time to have your phone fixed, and if there is time, the repair usually comes at a cost. Luke Burmeduz, founder of SmartQuacks, could have the answer.

Luke Bermudez was a college student majoring in computer science who had a passion for fixing things, technology especially. That passion led to the creation of “Smart Quacks Phone Repair”, a mobile phone repair service offering fast efficient, and reliable repairs to all types of phones.
The idea of a mobile repair service came from the idea of being able to save people time from going to a location and dropping off their phone and waiting.
“I saw a need for a faster way to fix phones with the best products.” Bermudez commented on his idea, his passion started when he was young, tinkering and toying with his own devices.
“I've been fixing phones for over 10 years; I started when I learned to repair my iPhone 5 on my own.” Bermudez said.
The business is set up through appointments, set online with availability based on the phone type and what needs to be repaired. The company ranges from screen glass repair, ranging from $120-$300, battery repair, ranging from $30 to $80 and miscellaneous problems such water damage and charging ports, ranging from $30 to $150, all these prices can vary depending the type of phone and repair needed. The company also offers a a payment system if $20 uo front and the rest can be paid after the repair.
Once a date and time is set, a repair technician will arrive at the location where he has all the tools to repair whatever the problem may be. Once the technician arrives, the phone will be taken into the work vehicle equipped with the technology and tools needed.

It isn't just Burmudez running the show, he currently has another coworker, Jordan Hill, who is also a college student, explaining what it is like working for the company.
“It's great working with someone who knows what it's like as a college kid while also having a similar passion for technology and how it works.” Hill spoke about his time and relationship with the company.
The company is currently locally run by Bermudez in Jacksonville, though he does have plans to one day expand the company.
“I would certainly like to expand at some point, this is my full-time business, expanding it out would be amazing.”
