Jacksonville, FL.- What started as a hobby to get into better shape, has now turned into an opportunity to share an array of knowledge along a journey through fitness. Jake Horson was just a normal person who found working out to be therapeutic and a challenge to change his body into something more.
“It took me about 3 or 4 years to get to where I am now, I can safely say that I have achieved a body I have always wanted.”
All the time and effort are what made Horson realize that he wanted to share the things that he has learned with others who may want to change their appearance or are unsure where to start. He created “Average Bros Fitness” a YouTube channel aimed to help influence and inspire beginners or the average, everyday person who does
not take any form of supplements to enhance themselves. That is what Horson believes sets the channel apart from other fitness influencer channels, as he has never taken any supplements and has achieved his physique naturally.
The channel is still in the process of being worked on, with Horson and his current camera man, Christian Gunter, have been recording their videos in a vlog style of video. The videos begin with an opening intro explaining what the workout will be focused on for the day. Gunter will then film a set or two of each workout, explaining the movement prior to the exercise to show how to properly perform a lift while explaining the benefits.
Filming the video is only one of the challenges faced with the channel, another challenge comes from the time away from the gym. Creating videos for the channel involves editing the footage to fit into the desired video length.
“Recording the workout is the easiest part, what is most time consuming is the editing that is involved.” Gunter said when asked about the process, “We try to aim for the videos to be about 10 minutes long, so the hardest part is picking the right videos and shots to use and what not to use. Within those videos we also need to know if there are clips that need to be cut.”
The proccess may be time consuming, but the goal of inspiring someone to better themselves, or to show someone anything can be possible, even something as little as going to the gym, is the goal in the end.
